(UNDATED) - The Indiana National Guard is hosting approximately 5,200 military and civilian personnel from across the country to take part in annual, disaster response training exercises at Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.

The exercises, Vibrant Response and Guardian Response, are sponsored by U.S. Army North and U.S. Forces Command, and they will run through April 29th

In combination, these represent the largest premier disaster response exercise in the nation that partners military and civilian organizations including the Department of Defense, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Indiana National Guard, Michigan National Guard and several other local, state and federal agencies.

This year's Vibrant Response Exercise will train and certify members of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear response units through various training events.

The training will also include simulated decontamination operations, airlift, medical training and other events at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center as part of the 2018 Guardian Response Exercise.
