Governor Bill Weld To Attend Libertarian Party Of Indiana State Convention

(INDIANAPOLIS) - 2016 Libertarian Party nominee for U.S. Vice President and former Governor of Massachusetts Bill Weld will be attending the 2018 Libertarian Party of Indiana State Convention this weekend, at the Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, and will be the keynote speaker at the evening banquet.

The event is May 5th, from Noon until 9 p.m. at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 W Maryland St. in Indianapolis.

LPIN Business Meeting will begin at 1 p.m. with Gov. Weld speaking during Banquet at 6 p.m.

The public is invited and the dress is business casual.

Libertarian Party of Indiana Chairman Timothy Maguire is pleased to welcome Bill Weld, former candidate for U.S. Vice President.

William 'Bill' Weld was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 1990 with 51 percent of the vote and re-elected in 1994 with 71 percent of the vote. Despite the state legislature being controlled by a Democratic majority, Bill cut taxes 21 times and did not permit any tax increases.

He is a strong advocate of social tolerance. In 1992, Bill was rated the most fiscally conservative governor in the United States by the Wall Street Journal. In 2016, he was the Libertarian nominee for Vice-President of the United States.
