(KNOX CO.) - A change of plea hearing is set for this afternoon in the murder trial of 27 year-old Christopher Schatz, Junior.
Schatz is charged with killing John "Doug" Lowe in his Decker apartment on May third of last year. The hearing will be held in Knox Superior Court I.
Under the proposed plea agreement, Schatz would plead guilty to murder and be sentenced to 60-years in prison with 15 years suspended to supervised probation.
Schatz would also receive credit for time served.
The agreement also calls for Schatz to testify, if needed, in the trial against co-defendant and his cousin Jeremy Schatz
