Two Bodies Recovered After House Fire Tuesday Morning Near Wheatland

(WHEATLAND) - Knox County Coroner Brian Hagen says the bodies of two people were found early Tuesday morning following a house fire near Wheatland.

The fire broke out in a home at 473 North Nimnicht Road.

An autopsy on the bodies was performed later in the day.

Names have not been released until identities can be confirmed with medical records.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Steen Township Fire Department, the State Fire Marshal's Office, Knox County Sheriff, and Knox County Coroner.
