Last updated on Thursday, March 15, 2018

(CRAWFORD CO) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of State Road 62 in Crawford County near the town of West Fork for equipment installation.

Beginning on or around Wednesday March 28, INDOT Contractors will begin working to install geotechnical instruments on State Road 62 between the intersections of State Road 37 and State Road 237. Work will be isolated to a short stretch near the middle of those two intersections and the road will be closed between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., reopening at the end of each day.

Work is expected to take about a week to complete, depending upon weather conditions. The official detour uses State Road 37, State Road 64 and State Road 237.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
