First Of Restored Stained Glass Windows To Be Installed At Saint Joseph Catholic Church In Jasper

Last updated on Tuesday, March 27, 2018

(JASPER) - Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper says Conrad Schmitt Studios of New Berlin, Wisconsin will be installing a restored stained glass window in the church and preparing for the next step in the church’s restoration project.

The ultimate project will include restoration of all stained glass windows in Saint Joseph.

Church officials say the primary challenge has been locating exact matches to glass made more than 100 years ago.

The current windows are nearly 120 years old, 20 years past the general life expectancy of windows from the turn of the century.

Funding for the project comes from from the Stewards of God's Grace Campaign.

The campaign was a joint effort of the Diocese of Evansville and Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
