Vice President Mike Pence Named Sagamore Of The Wabash

Last updated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Vice President Mike Pence is now a Sagamore of the Wabash.

At a meeting of the Indiana Society of Washington, DC, Pence said his heart will always be in his home state.

The Sagamore of the Wabash is one of Indiana's highest honors, usually given by the Governor to those who have given distinguished service to the state.

Pence said he last spoke to the group on the eve of President Trump's inauguration, and he was humbled to speak before it for the first time as Vice President.

Pence remarked that the U.S. economy is booming, wages are rising, and Hoosiers are playing a leading role in that comeback.
