Two Men Arrested After Troopers Find More Than 140 Grams Of Meth

(PIKE CO.) - Two men were arrested after Indiana State Police troopers found more than 140 grams of meth in the vehicle early Saturday morning.

A trooper stopped a 2010 Dodge Charger for allegedly driving 44 mph in a 30 mph zone on State Road 257 in Otwell.

During the stop, the driver police arrested the driver 33-year-old John Allen of Petersburg and his passenger 40-year-old Edward Simison of Washington.

Due to suspicious activity, the trooper searched the vehicle and discovered 144 grams of meth, a small amount of heroin, drug paraphernalia and a syringe loaded with heroin.

Allen and Simison were arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail on felony charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of heroin, unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance. Both men are being held without bond.

Pike County Sheriff's Department deputies assisted in arrests.
