Last updated on Monday, February 12, 2018

(EVANSVILLE) - Authorities say a suspect in two fatal shootings in southwestern Indiana has been found dead in his vehicle.

The Evansville Courier & Press reports 33-year-old Daniel Sears of Evansville was wanted in connection with two shootings in the Evansville area.

The shootings happened about 5 minutes apart Sunday morning. The Vanderburgh County Coroner's office says 32-year-old Maygen Sears of Evansville died in one shooting and 41-year-old Richard Popp of Worthville, Kentucky, died in the other shooting.

Authorities issued an alert about a suspect before the vehicle was found. Autopsies were planned on Monday.

WFIE-TV reports Evansville police Sgt. Jason Cullum says the shootings are being investigated as a possible domestic incident. He didn't specify the relationship between those involved, but said they all knew each other.
