Banks Hosting "First Steps To Government And Defense Contracting Workshop" Next Week

(FORT WAYNE) - Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) is hosting a free workshop on federal and defense contracting next week in Fort Wayne.

The workshop will help Hoosier small businesses navigate the contracting system. Presenters will include the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center.

What: First Steps to Government and Defense Contracting and Compliance Workshop

Date: Thursday, January 25

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET

Location: Ivy Tech Community College Student Life Center - Fort Wayne

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with federal and state contractors such as: the U.S. Small Business Administration, Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, SCORE, Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center, NSW Crane, Department of Homeland Security/Customs and Border Protection, USDA, the Women's Entrepreneurial Opportunity Center, and other federal and prime contractors.

The workshop is free and registration is required to attend. The deadline to register is Thursday, January 18, and space is limited to the first 150 people. Registration and the full agenda can be found here. Box lunches will be available for $12.50 paid in advance with registration.
