(NINEVEH) - A Nineveh man was arrested Monday night after police found he was driving a stolen scooter.

A Johnson County Sheriff's deputy stopped 34-year-old Jason Sanders just before 6:30 p.m. on County Road 200 East as he was pulling in a driveway

When confronted by Deputy Brett Davis, Sanders gave the officer a false name not once - but several times leading to his arrest.

Police also learned the scooter Sanders was driving had been reported stolen out of Edinburg.

Police also discovered a set of scales with meth residue in the scooter compartment.

After learning Sanders true identity he was charged with theft, false identifying, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
