(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said the monthly premium for Medicare Part B enrollees will be $134 for 2018, the same amount they paid in 2017.
Also, the $183 annual deductible will not be changed in 2018 for Medicare Part B, CMS said. The Part B program covers physician services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health services, durable medical equipment, and other items.
The Medicare Part A benefit, which covers inpatient hospital, skilled nursing facility, and some home health care services, will be increased $24 to $1,340 for an inpatient hospital stay.
