Indiana Conservation Officers Investigating Fall From Tree Stand Hunting Incident In Noble County

(KENDALLVILLE) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a fall from tree stand hunting incident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 7:43 a.m.

66-year-old Alan L. Fordeck of Kendallville was sitting in a homemade tree stand in the area of County Road 9663 East and County Road 1000 North when he fell twelve feet to the ground while attempting to shoot at a deer.

Fordeck luckily was carrying a cell phone and was able to summon help.

The Kendallville Fire Department and Parkview EMS had to make an extensive trek into the woods to rescue Fordeck.

Fordeck was transported to Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, Indiana for treatment to his right leg.
