(CLARK CO.) - Indiana State Police have canceled a Silver Alert for an 81-year-old man from Sellersburg after he was found dead in his vehicle in an interstate rest area at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a rest park attendant on Interstate 65 near the 22 mile marker in Clark County contacted the Sellersburg post saying the man had been found in his vehicle.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered David Eugene Cox, from Sellersburg, deceased in his 1995 white Ford Probe. He was parked in a parking spot on the north side of the rest park Welcome Center.

Cox was the subject of a Silver Alert that was issued on Tuesday shortly after 2:30 a.m.

Police said there was no evidence of foul play.
