Brazil Couple Awarded More Than $200K After Police Dog Bites Son

(BRAZIL) - The Terre Haute Tribune Star reports a Brazil, Indiana couple has won more than $200,000 in settlements after a police dog bit their son during a school field trip to a courtroom.

The newspaper reports public records requests show Michael and Gabriel Abbott recently reached out-of-court settlements of $105,000 from the state and $80,000 from the city of Brazil.

They said their son was placed in unnecessary danger.
