Last updated on Monday, September 18, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Region of the American Red Cross is seeking three critical needs including; volunteers who speak fluent Spanish willing to deploy to areas affected by Harvey and Irma, volunteers willing to support disaster relief efforts throughout Indiana and volunteers willing to deploy to areas hit by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. All deployments out of state are a minimum of two weeks.

People willing to support disaster relief efforts in state or outside of the state are encouraged to contact 1-888-684-1441. Following this call, you will be contacted within 48-72 hours. Currently, this is the quickest way to support those impacted.

"We continue to be proud at the astounding humanitarian spirit of so many Hoosiers hearing the call to support those who have been impacted by the destruction and devastation of Hurricane Harvey and Irma," said Duchess Adjei, regional communication director for the Indiana Region of the American Red Cross.

This is a time for communities to come together and support one another. The Red Cross is working closely with the entire response community - government agencies, other non-profit groups, faith-based organizations, area businesses and others - to coordinate emergency relief efforts and get help to people as quickly as possible.
