Indiana Hospitals Rally Against Sepsis To Raise Awareness

Last updated on Wednesday, September 13, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 90 percent of adults and 70 percent of children who developed sepsis had a health condition that may have put them at risk.

More than 3,000 Hoosiers died in 2016 from sepsis, according to the 2016 IHA Inpatient Discharge Study.

Will participate in a Rally organized to increase awareness of sepsis, a potentially deadly response to an infection at 10 a.m. ET today, for World Sepsis Day.

The rally will be held at the Indiana War Memorial, Pershing Auditorium at 431 North Meridian Street, in Indianapolis.
