Man Lifelined After Crashing Over The Road Vehicle

(EVANSVILLE) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an over the road vehicle accident that resulted in a Vanderburgh County man being life-flighted to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

The operator, 19-year-old Austin Holmes of Evansville, suffered significant head and shoulder injuries in the crash. He was navigating a steep hill when the ORV rolled and landed on top of him.

The accident took place on private property near Wasson Road and Seven Hills Road on Friday around 2:45 p.m.

Responding agencies included the Warrick County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police, Elberfeld Fire Department, Warrick County EMS and Indiana Conservation Officers.

Holmes advised he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
