Indiana Conservation Officers Investigating Personal Injury Boating Incident In Steuben County

(ANGOLA) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a personal injury boating incident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 12:39 p.m.

26-year-old Aaron J. Mossburg of Ohio was operating a personal watercraft with a passenger, and towing 24-year-old Jacob P. Mossburg of Ohio on a tube on in the first basin of Lake James.

Jacob Mossburg's arm became entangled in the tow rope and received a severe laceration.

A nearby pontoon boat pulled Jacob Mossburg into the boat, provided him with first aid, and transported him to shore where he was met and treated by Steuben County Emergency Medial Services and the Angola Fire Department.

Jacob Mossburg was then transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne for treatment of his injury.

Indiana Conservation Officers were also assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff's Department and Steuben County Communications.
