Gov. Holcomb Announces New Online System To Combat Opioid Crisis

Last updated on Monday, August 28, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Eric Holcomb is announcing a new online system to help pharmacists and doctors keep track of patients’ prescriptions.

The system is called INSPECT and it makes medical histories just one click away.

INSPECT is being put in place to avoid over-prescribing medicine.

Holcomb hopes it will be a step forward in addressing the state's opioid crisis.
