Vincennes Man Arrested After Causing Fatal Accident

(VINCENNES) - Vincennes Police arrested a Vincennes man early Tuesday morning following a one-vehicle accident in which one person was killed and four others injured.

Police say the accident at River Road and Perdue Road was reported about 1:15 a.m.

Police say when they arrived they found the driver, 24-year-old Joshua Slone, walking away from the accident scene.

Knox County Coroner Brian Hagen says 19-year-old John Creamer, of Vincennes died at the scene from his injuries.

In addition to the fatality, four other people were injured.

Two of the injured were taken by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Slone is facing preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction resulting in death, driving while his driver's license was suspended resulting in death and involuntary manslaughter.
