(BOONVILLE) - The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 61 near Boonville is scheduled to be closed Monday for the construction of a roundabout as a part of the Boonville Bypass Project.
Contractors are scheduled to begin construction on the roundabout at the intersection of the new State Road 61 bypass about three miles north of the city. Work is expected to last for about 60 days depending upon weather conditions.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
However, through traffic will need to use the official detour using State Road 61, I-64 and I-69.
The Boonville Bypass project began in the summer of 2015 and is expected to be completed this fall.
