(VINCENNES) - Vincennes University Professor Susan Brocksmith has been recognized as one of five regional winners of the America's Farmers Mom of the Year program. The award is sponsored by Monsanto and Agri-American women.

Brocksmith, who chairs the Agribusiness program at V-U and the other regional winners represent the important role that women play in American farms, families, rural communities and the agriculture industry.

To honor their efforts, each of the five regional winners will receive $2,000 to direct to a nonprofit organization of their choice in the community in which they live, well as $3,000 for her personal use.
