(HARRISON CO.) - On Wednesday afternoon, an Indiana State trooper stopped a gold Lexus in the westbound lane of Interstate 64, near Lanesville, in Harrison County, traveling over 110 miles per hour.

During the course of the traffic, the trooper determined criminal activity was afoot.

Indiana State Police K-9, "Riggs", was called to the scene and made a positive alert for the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and troopers found marijuana. Further investigation located computer equipment, printers, and multiple credit cards with various names. All these items are commonly used in the crime of Identity theft.

It was also discovered that the driver, who tried using the name and identifiers of another person, did not possess a valid driver's license and was involved with identity deception.

The driver and passenger were placed under arrest and transported to the Harrison County Jail without incident.

Arrested and Charges:

Raheem Lamonze Planter, 36, from Compton, CA, driver of the vehicle, was charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana, False Informing and Identity Deception.

Jacquees Charleton Lang, 20, from Los Angeles, CA, passenger, was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana and False Informing.

Troopers have contacted federal authorities and will be contacting California authorities to further the investigation to help locate other victims whose identities may have been stolen.
