American Red Cross Announces New Regional Disaster Officer For Indiana

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The American Red Cross is very excited to announce that Charlie Maltbie will join its executive leadership team as the new Regional Disaster Officer in Indiana.

Maltbie will start his new position on Monday, May 8, bringing more than 15 years of experience in disaster response.

Maltbie has been with the Red Cross since 2009 when he started working at the Northern New Jersey Chapter. Two years later, he began working at the Red Cross' national headquarters, where he most recently held the position, Director of Disaster Workforce Readiness. Maltbie's leadership experience comes from heading several national disaster relief operations, including Hurricane Matthew and the Louisiana Floods of 2016.

"We are elated to have Charlie join our regional team," said Chad Priest, Regional CEO of the American Red Cross. "His extensive experience speaks for itself, and will be a great asset as we continue to build resilient communities across the state of Indiana."
