(VELPEN) - Indianapolis Colts placekicker Adam Vinatieri and Indiana First Lady Janet Holcomb will team up today with sheriffs from across the state to raise money for a new not-for-profit for at-risk kids and future law enforcement officers.

Vinatieri and Holcomb will be among more than 150 law enforcement officers and business leaders at an inaugural "Sheriffs' Shotgun Start," a sporting clay tournament to be hosted at the world-class Cool Springs Education Center in Southwest Indiana.

Garmong Construction Services of Evansville, Terre Haute and Indianapolis is organizing the event along with OFS Brands, a Huntingburg-based producer and global marketer of business furniture, and Ardizzone Enterprises, a major Indianapolis real estate investment and management company.

Pauly Jail Building Company, RQAW Consulting Engineers and Architects, and TPC Mechanical Contractors are co-hosts.

Proceeds will benefit the new Indiana Sheriffs' Youth Ranch which will serve as permanent home for the Indiana Sheriffs' Association Youth Leadership Camps, now in their 38th year. Located in Clay County near Brazil, Ind., the Youth Ranch will be open to teens from all communities and counties.

"Our new Youth Ranch will offer swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, hiking and ziplining among other activities," said Executive Director Steve Luce. "Teens will also learn in age-appropriate ways about first aid, CPR, personal safety, cybercrimes, financial security, bullying, firearms safety and substance abuse."

Luce credited Vinatieri, Holcomb and the event sponsors for making the first-time event a sell-out success. "Because all counties will be able to send kids to our new Youth Ranch, we have local fundraising goals in each community. Our dedicated sheriffs and deputies are joining ranks with business and civic leaders across the state to make this vital youth project possible. OFS Brands, Garmong Construction Services and Ardizzone Enterprises have gone above and beyond. What's more, they've enlisted the help of Pauly Jail Building Company, RQAW Consulting Engineers and Architects, and TPC Mechanical Contractors to make this a huge success for Indiana youth."
