(LOGANSPORT) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the 5000 block East on County Road 150 South.
According to police, 19-year-old Michelle Montano, of Logansport, was operating a Suzuki Ozark 250 cc ATV at approximately 30 mph when for some unknown reason, she crossed the roadway and collided with a fence. Montano was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
She was transported by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital where she was then transported via Samaritan helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Injuries sustained included multiple abrasions, and trauma to the neck area and abrasions to the abdomen. She is listed in critical condition at this time.
