Juveniles Injured In ATV Accident

(ROSSVILLE) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred at approximately 7:30 pm last evening in the 3000 block W on CR 725 S in Carroll County.

Police say 12-year-old Noah Morris and 11-year-old Evan Lawson were operating a Polaris Sportsman ATV on the edge of a wood line at a high rate of speed when they lost control and struck multiple trees. Both occupants were thrown from the ATV.

Noah and Evan were both wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Injuries sustained include a broken femur, broken fibula, multiple abrasions and lacerations. Both riders were transported via ambulance for further medical treatment and are in stable condition at this time.

Conservation Officers want to stress the importance of wearing safety gear while operating an ATV.
