Governor Holcomb Vetoes Fee For Public Records Requests

Last updated on Wednesday, April 26, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Holcomb is saying no to a bill that would’ve allowed government agencies to charge up to 20-dollars per hour for certain public records requests.

He vetoed the measure Monday, calling it contrary to his commitment to providing great government service at a great value for taxpayers.

The bill would have applied to public records requests that took more than two hours to complete.
