(TRAFALGAR) - As part of a pay it forward campaign, Farm Credit Mid-America, a long-time Indiana FFA partner and agriculture lender, pledged up to $25,000 in matching funds to the Indiana FFA Foundation and is challenging businesses, FFA alumni and others to follow their lead.

The goal of the campaign is to retire an original loan on the Indiana FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar, Ind. and aims to raise $25,000 by June 20, 2017.

"FFA lays the foundation of a dynamic generation of agriculture leaders and supports developing skills that benefit the agricultural industry and our communities," said Tom Sloma, Senior Vice President of Farm Credit Mid-America. "We're pleased to participate in the campaign and help sustain a camp that encourages the next generation of agriculturalists to learn, compete, celebrate and grow."

Since the first camp was held in 1974, an estimated 100,000 FFA members have taken advantage of the unique FFA leadership center. With the Indiana FFA Foundation investing close to $500,000 in facility capital projects and improvements, the center has been a place of growth and stability for FFA members across the state.

"For over 40 years, Indiana FFA members have been blessed to inherit such a remarkable place to call home," said Lisa Chaudion, Executive Director of the Indiana FFA Foundation. "Generations of leaders have been shaped and inspired by the leadership center, and we are excited about the opportunities it will offer our youth in the future."

Funds raised will also be used to build the Give Hope Annuity, which was created to help with future capital projects of the Indiana FFA Leadership Center.

If you would like to donate to the pay it forward campaign, please visit www.inffa.org/foundation or contact Lisa Chaudion at (317) 878-4178 or lchaudion@inffa.org.
