Last updated on Monday, April 3, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, will headline the Indiana Republican Party’s Annual Spring Dinner on Monday, May 8th, at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.

Trump, who serves as executive vice president of development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization, most recently traveled around the country on behalf of his father's campaign for the presidency.

"Donald Trump Jr. understands the lessons of 2016 better than anyone else having played a critical role in the election of our nation's 45th president of the United States," said Indiana Republican Party State Chairman Kyle Hupfer. "Having him visit Indiana in a non-election year is a testament to the importance our state will have next year as we work to defeat Joe Donnelly, support our Members of Congress and maintain our hold of statewide offices and supermajorities in the State House and Senate."

Previous State Dinner speakers include: Governor (now Vice President) Mike Pence, Senator (now Director of National Intelligence) Dan Coats, Governor Matt Bevin, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor (now UN Ambassador) Nikki Haley, Governor Bobby Jindal, Governor Scott Walker, Republican National Committee Chairman (now White House Chief of Staff) Reince Preibus, Congressman (now Speaker) Paul Ryan and Governor (now President of Purdue University) Mitch Daniels.

Hupfer added, "We are honored to have Donald Trump Jr. join our roster of illustrious State Dinner alumni who have gone on to serve in high-profile positions in the Trump Administration."

Additional information regarding ticket sales and timing of the event will be released next week at www.indiana.gop and via the Indiana Republican Party's social media accounts.
