Columbus Man Wins Annual DNR Historic Preservation & Archaeology Photo Contest

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The winners of the annual DNR Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology’s (DHPA) Historic Preservation Month photo contest have been announced.

Norberto Nunes of Columbus won "Best Overall Photo" for his shot of the Bridgeton Covered Bridge at night.

Sophiana Botich of Crown Point won "Best Overall Resource" for her detail shot of the Buckley Homestead's 1916 barn, near Lowell.

Liz Ertle of Evansville won "Most Artistic Photo" for her photo of the George Rogers Clark Memorial in Vincennes.

DHPA is celebrating Historic Preservation Month this year by featuring a different round or polygonal barn on its Facebook page every day in May, giving readers a chance to learn more about these picturesque but dwindling resources.
