April 1 Symposium Will Address Agri-Security

(VINCENNES) - Threats, risks, and vulnerabilities of the United States food and agriculture sector will be the subject of an Agri-Security Symposium at Vincennes University on April 1. The day-long symposium is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.

Students from two VU programs - Homeland Security & Public Safety and Agribusiness - will present the symposium as their academic capstone project, a multifaceted assignment that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience.

The symposium will include student presentations related to agri-security needs in the food and agriculture sector as well as potential threats to community-related agriculture.

Lunch will be provided and attendees will hear a presentation by Dr. Maria Cooper of the Indiana State Board of Animal Health.
