Wrong Way Driver Almost Collides With State Trooper On U.S. 41

(VANDERBURGH CO.) - Early Sunday at approximately 12:40 a.m., Troopers Compton and Weis were patrolling northbound on US 41 south of Boonville New Harmony Road when a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes almost collided head-on with their patrol car.

The wrong-way driver was stopped and identified as 55-year-old Jon Kosor of Evansville. He was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion.

Police say Kosor was impaired and had a blood alcohol content of 0.14 percent. He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held on bond on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
