Race & Gender Fairness Commission To Host 5 Community Forums

(UNDATED) - The Indiana Supreme Court's Commission on Race & Gender Fairness will have community forums in five cities throughout Indiana.

The forums will be conducted:

  • Monday, February 27 at 6:00pm CST in Gary
  • Wednesday, March 1 at 6:00pm CST in Evansville
  • Thursday, March 9 at 6:00pm EST in Indianapolis
  • Monday, March 13 at 6:00pm EST in Lafayette
  • Thursday, March 16 at 6:00pm EST in Fort Wayne

Members of the Commission invite the public to attend and participate in small group discussions about the status of race and gender in the judicial system. The forums will encourage dialogue between members of the community and the Commission.

Advance registration to the free events is appreciated but not required. See additional details online. All events are accessible to people with disabilities. Individuals needing special accommodations should contact Ashley Rozier three days prior to the event.

The Indiana Commission on Race & Gender Fairness was created in 1999 to study and make recommendations on matters involving race and gender fairness in the Indiana judicial system. The Commission recommends to the Supreme Court the adoption of policies and procedures promoting race and gender fairness. More information on the Commission can be found online.
