Last updated on Tuesday, February 14, 2017

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) announces the promotion of Matt Crouch to Deputy Director.

Crouch brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience, having been with the agency for ten years; joining the team as the South Central Community Liaison in 2007. He then served as Project Manager and Senior Project Manager coordinating several key initiatives including the Stellar Communities Designation Program, Indiana Site Certified (formerly Indiana Shovel Ready), Indiana Main Street Program, and several other statewide programs.

"The time Matt spent with us as a Community Liaison, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and a member of the OCRA senior staff has fully prepared him for this promotion and seamless transition," said Bill Konyha, OCRA Executive Director. "His leadership style is consistent with our philosophy of servant leadership and his willingness to have a place at the table for everyone will undoubtedly help us take OCRA to the next level."

In this new role, Matt will oversee the project, program, and community affairs management staff and teams in the development, deployment, and evaluation of agency programs and services. Additionally, he will focus on cultivating relationships with strategic partners including state agencies, universities, associations, and other organizations to further OCRA's mission to provide resources and technical assistance to assist communities in shaping and achieving their vision for community and economic development.
