(VIGO CO.) - Thursday night at 11:40 p.m., Vigo County—Last night at 11:40, Indiana State Police Troopers Tim Rader and Courtland Woodruff stopped a gold 2004 Chevrolet passenger car for disregarding a traffic control signal northbound on 14th Street at Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute.
During conversations with the driver, 30-year-old Fredrick S. Johnson of Terre Haute, troopers noticed what appeared to be signs of intoxication.
Johnson was arrested. During his arrested the troopers found approximately 10.7 grams of suspected cocaine in Johnson's pants pocket. The street value of the cocaine is estimated at $1,000.
A chemical test revealed Johnson had a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent.
Johnson was taken to the Vigo County Jail on misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated; operating a motor vehicle while never licensed and a felony charge of possession of cocaine and was cited for open container violation.
