Indiana Court of Appeals Judge, Rudolph Pyle III, Featured As Centennial Chapel Speaker

(ANDERSON) - Anderson University alum Judge Rudolph R. Pyle III, Indiana Court of Appeals (Fourth District), will be a featured speaker as a part of the university’s Centennial Chapel Speaker Series, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. in Reardon Auditorium.

Judge Rudolph R. Pyle III was appointed to the Court of Appeals of Indiana by Gov. Mitch Daniels and took his seat on Aug. 27, 2012.

The Centennial Chapel Speaker Series is designed to showcase Anderson University alumni representing various generations and walks of life. Each guest in the series will be interviewed by someone close to their areas of passion and experience. The series is one of several events planned by Anderson University. A native of Rhode Island, Pyle graduated from Anderson University in 1992 with degrees in history and political science. Immediately following graduation from Anderson University, Pyle began his studies for a master's degree at the Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

In 2009, Pyle brought new energy to the Madison County judiciary when Daniels appointed him as judge of Madison Circuit Court. In November 2010, Pyle was elected and retained his seat on the bench. During his tenure, Pyle presided over major felony trials, directed the installation of wireless internet access, promoted the increased use of technology, produced television commercials promoting jury service, and was an advocate of problem-solving courts.
