(INDIANAPOLIS) - Dr. Jennifer McCormick, Indiana State Superintendent of Public Instruction, announced Dr. Charity Flores will serve as the Director of Assessment.
Returning to the DOE (2006-2012), Flores has spent most of her career supporting assessment development, both in Indiana and with national organizations. Most recently, she was the Deputy Director of Content for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium following her time with McGraw Hill Education. She also served as Assistant Director of Assessment at the Indiana Department of Education and began her career as a classroom teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools and Crawfordsville Community School Corporation.
