(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor-elect Eric Holcomb announced Tuesday that Brandye Hendrickson will be appointed to serve as the State Personnel Department Director, effective January 9, 2017. In addition, Stephanie Wilson will serve in the Office of the Governor as Press Secretary.

"Brandye has over 20 years of experience in public service where she has demonstrated both her leadership abilities and her commitment to Indiana," said Governor-elect Eric Holcomb. "She will serve Indiana well as the head of the State Personnel Department and I look forward to her leadership as we work to take Indiana to the next level."
Brandye Hendrickson has served as the Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation since her appointment by Governor Mike Pence in 2015. Previously, she had served as Deputy Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Transportation, specifically overseeing the agency's Greenfield District Operations. In this role, her responsibilities included managing an annual construction budget of approximately $700 million and an annual operating budget of $50 million. Hendrickson oversaw a workforce of 360 employees responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of INDOT's transportation infrastructure within the district. Previously, Hendrickson served as Deputy Commissioner for Human Resources within INDOT and more than six years as Human Resources Director for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. She is a graduate of Indiana University.
Stephanie Wilson, Press Secretary:
Stephanie serves as the Communications Director at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Previously, she was the Deputy Communications Director at the Indianapolis Department of Public Works, and she served the Indiana Department of Education as Communications Director. She also served as Press Secretary at the Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana House of Representatives. Stephanie is a graduate of Indiana University - Kelley School of Business.
