(PERRY CO.) - A Tell City couple were arrested Friday on numerous drug charges, in the presence of a four-year-old child.

Friday morning, Senior Trooper Robbie Lambert was patrolling State Road 37 near French Ridge Road in Perry County when he pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation.

While speaking with the driver, 25-year-old Anthony Garner of Tell City, Lambert smelled the odor of burnt marijuana from inside the vehicle. Lambert searched the vehicle, leading him to find several baggies of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The investigation also determined that Garner was driving while his license had been suspended.

Garner had two passengers in the vehicle, 21-year-old Carlee Burton of Tell City, and a four year old child. Burton was cited into court on multiple charges and was released from the scene due to a medical condition. Garner was placed into custody, transported and lodged in the Perry County Jail.

Garner is facing felony charges of maintaining a common nuisance, neglect of a dependent and misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended with a prior conviction, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
