(LIGONEER) - Investigators have broke up what they call a "well organized" drug ring at West Noble High School in Ligoneer northwest of Fort Wayne.

Police say pot was being sold to students throughout the school.

Prosecutor Eric Blackman says the teen was apparently bringing pounds of marijuana and marijuana-laced items such as candy suckers into Ligonier. That juvenile may have traveled to California and Colorado to get the drugs.

Blackman calls the drug ring "surprisingly large and well-organized."

A drug raid at the home of one 16-year-old student led officers and DEA agents to a large amount of marijuana and cash.

The Noble County Prosecutor's office says the student was going to California and Colorado and bringing a lot of marijuana back to the area to sell.

The teen is being held at the Allen County Juvenile Center while police continue to investigate.
