Sweep With State Parole Officers Leads To Six Arrests On Drug Charges

(PERRY CO.) - Two searches by State Police troopers with State Parole officers led to drug charges filed against six people Friday afternoon.

The parole search was conduced at 100 First Street in Cannelton. During the search, drug paraphernalia was found inside the home and four individuals inside the home at the time of the search were cited into court on a Class C misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia.

A second parole search was conducted at 1630 Tell Street in Tell City. Police found meth, hypodermic needles, synthetic drugs and drug paraphernalia. Two people inside, 33-year-old Miller Nix and 22-year-old Tiffany Dukes were arrested without incident and transported to the Perry County Jail.

Both is facing charges of possession of meth, possession of a hypodermic needle, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dukes is also wanted on a warrant for violation of community corrections on an original charge of possession of meth and resisting law enforcement.
