(BIRDSEYE) - A Birdseye teen died in a house fire near Petersburg early Saturday morning.
Officials say, 19-year-old Damien McBride died in a fire that also claimed the life of his dog Zander.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
McBride was a graduate of Forest Park High School, where he played football.
He was currently attending his second year at Vincennes University.
