(VINCENNES) - Fire destroyed a mobile home on the North End of Vincennes Friday Night.

Vincennes Firefighters responded to 328 W. Chicago Avenue around 8:22 p.m.

Fire Chief Sonny Pinkstaff says one of the occupants of the mobile home, Robert Goodwin was attempting to light a propane heater when a flash fire occurred.

Pinkstaff says the fire was fully involved when the first units arrived on the scene. He says it took firefighters over an hour to bring the fire under control.

Goodwin suffered flash burns to his hands and face. He was treated at the scene by Knox County EMS, but refused transport to Good Samaritan Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Pinkstaff says the mobile home is listed as a total loss. The mobile home is owned by Buzz Tislow. It's the fourth fire to occur in the city this week and the third in the last 48 hours. The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
