Man Pleads Not Guilty To Child Molesting

Last updated on Tuesday, November 8, 2016

(JEFFERSONVILLE) - New details are emerging in a disturbing child molestation case in Jeffersonville.

On Monday, 23-year-old Michael Weston pleaded not guilty to child molesting.

Court documents say Weston followed an 8-year-old last Wednesday into a bathroom at Bob Hedge Park.

According to investigators, Weston admitted to threatening the child's life with a knife.

The boy's babysitter, Mark Wilson, has a warning for other parents.

"Other people who had children there need to talk to their children about things that could happen there. There's plenty of children who go over and are unattended by themselves. They ought to be warned and told the severity of what went on," Wilson told WDRB 41.

Weston is in jail, charged with child molestation, criminal confinement and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
