Police Arrest Three In Murder Of Terre Haute Radio Personality Matt Luecking

Last updated on Tuesday, October 25, 2016

(TERRE HAUTE) - Just after 2:30 Tuesday morning Terre Haute Police announced that they had arrested two more people in connection with the murder of WFNB radio personality Matt Luecking.

Terre Haute Assistant Chief of Police Shawn Keen says they arrested 28-year-old Benjamin Selig of Rockville on a felony count of assisting a criminal. They also arrested 25-year-old Kathleen Featherstone on charges of felony murder, robbery, and burglary charges.

Police say additional arrests could be made as the investigation continues.

Just after 11 p.m. Monday the body of Matt Luecking was discovered in a bedroom on Jackboot Court.

That's inside the Village Quarter apartment complex at State Road 46 and Poplar Drive on Terre Haute's eastside.

Terre Haute Police say initial observations of Luecking's body indicated that of a homicide.

After a brief search of the area couldn't turn up the victim's car. Police then issued an advisory to surrounding agencies; they say within an hour Vermillion County Police informed them that two men tried to use Luecking's credit card and identity at the Walmart in Clinton.

Walmart loss prevention became suspicious of the two males when one of the individual started looking for the identification in order to sign for the purchase.

When the pair left the store they inadvertently left behind the ID belonging to Luecking.

Walmart provided the license plate number of the pairs get-a-way vehicle along with security video to Terre Haute Police; with that information the agency went to the home where the vehicle was registered.

Once on the scene police noticed the duo loading item's into Luecking's Chevy Cobalt.

Police arrested 24-year-old John Collins, of Terre Haute. Collins faces a murder charge.

The investigation continues.

Matt Luecking worked at Terre Haute Savings Bank. He was also a known Disc Jockey on Terre Haute's WFNB 92.7 and he operated a entertainment and DJ Business.

Luecking was well-known in the Wabash Valley. He often appeared at public events, including many ribbon cutting ceremonies for the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, where he served as an ambassador.
