Forest Service Offers Hundreds Of Jobs For Students And Recent Graduates

(MILWAUKEE, WI) - The U.S. Forest Service is offering more than 140 jobs at the Student and Recent Graduate Hiring Event at the 2016 Society of American Foresters Convention.

The event will take place Nov. 2-3, 2016 in Madison, Wisconsin. Jobs offered at the event are located on national forests throughout the United States, including 45 positions in the Forest Service's Eastern Region. Interviews will take place on-site at the convention; however, applications will also be accepted online Oct. 3-7, 2016 followed by phone interviews in November for interested individuals that cannot attend the event in Wisconsin.

Available positions include foresters, forestry technicians, natural resource managers or biological technicians. Additionally, several non-forestry positions offered will include fisheries and wildlife biologists, and GIS technicians. A listing of specific jobs and duty station locations offered are posted on the Forest Service's Eastern Region website. Applications will be accepted online beginning Oct. 3. On-site applications will be accepted at the Society of American Foresters (SAF) Convention in Madison, Wisconsin, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 2, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3. Applicants that are unable to attend the convention may apply online at USAJOBS Oct. 3-7.
