(UNDATED) - United Way 2-1-1 South Central IN, community information and referral service, has added text messaging services to their center.
In addition to being a call center, they are becoming a contact center with more options to connect to resources.
Two way texting is available by texting your zip code to TXT211 (898-211), residents can have a text message conversation with a trained specialist and get connected with resources via the text messaging service Monday-Friday 10am-4pm ET.
2-1-1 will still offer the call and web search (www.referweb.net/uwbc) options available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
