Governor Pence Directs State Agencies To Act On Recommendations From Meeting of Governor's Task Force On Drug Enforcement, Treatment, and Prevention

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mike Pence has directed state agencies to act on recommendations provided during the Sept. 20, meeting of the Governor’s Task Force on Drug Enforcement, Treatment, and Prevention. At the meeting, two action items were discussed and accepted for recommendation to the Governor.

Thursday, the Governor took the following actions:

"I deeply appreciate the important work of the Task Force, and this most recent round of recommendations illustrates again the value these men and women bring to our battle against the scourge of drug addiction," said Governor Pence. "I remain confident that as we act with purpose to end drug abuse, we can make a true, lasting and positive difference in the lives of fellow Hoosiers."

The next meeting of the Governor's Task Force on Drug Enforcement, Treatment, and Prevention is 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2016.
